i started reading a series, got over it for a couple months, and now i cant remember the name of the series...

a girl goes to boarding school, starts hanging out with the "popular crowd", "dates the "popular boy" who either murders someone or gets murdered. she and the group also attends some crazy party in nyc.

anyone know what the series is called?

sorta sounds like it could be "The It Girl", the gossip girl books which star Jenny Humphrey when she goes off to boarding school.
