What is the name of this tree?

I adore these purple trees and I see them everywhere, but I don't know what they're called. Can anyone tell me the scientific name of this type of tree?

Where is "everwhere"?  And can you provide a closeup of  the flowers.  There are a number of different species of trees with purple flowers... knowing where you are can help narrow things down.

Purple flowered trees in bloom now are Purple Robe, a  locust tree , Robina Fabaceae Leguminosae  and purple leafed trees could be purple leaf plum or purple smoke tree. Plum trees are listed under Prunus cerasifera,, "Atropurpurea" and the Smoke Tree is Cotinus coggygria, Dalea spinosa
