thats just a weighted chain.

it seems like a combination of the chinese weigthed chain and the european flail (larger bigger head).

I remember that movie- they just made up a lot of c**p for it.

Its a chinese weapon called the meteor hammer only it has a few upgrades. Its uses the physics of the body to strike unexpectedly. It was derived from the ropedart. The ropedart uses the bodies physics to launch its blade toward the enemy like a dart. The meteor hammer works the same expect the meteor hammer can remove a head in a single blow.
