I believe that would be called a 9 volt dc power adapter plug

i agree. looks like u just hook up the 9 volt batt to the terminal side and the jack is used to power whatever fits/needs a 9 volt batt source. but ive never seen a car deck or system needing one of these unless for like some kind of addon, such as a bluetooth adapter or ipod adapter kit. car audio, ur best to stick with fuses buddy
