  1. a young giraffe and a young elephant are called calf, a young zebra is called a foal or colt, a young deer is called a fawn, a young monkey is called an infant and a young frog is called a tadpole or froglet.

  2. Baby giraffes and elephants are called calves. A baby zebra is a foal. A baby snake is a hatchling if it is a species which lays eggs, or simply a baby or a juvenile if it is a species that has live birth. Baby deer are called fawns or calves depending on species - for example, fallow deer and white-tailed deer babies are fawns, whilst moose and red deer babies are calves. Baby monkeys are simply called babies. Baby frogs are called tadpoles when in their aquatic life stage, and froglets once they have developed limbs and become miniature frogs.
