Since nobody has answered yet, I'll toss in my 2 cents.

I would give your vet a call. Just in case the white spots are different than what you (or anyone online giving you advice) think it is. It could be an illness, it could be a growth, it could be another organism growing on it... there are too many possibilities that you should really bring it to a professional to look at so you know what it is for sure before you treat it. After all, how bad would you feel if you were medicated for something that wasn't even needed and might even make you feel worse?
