  1. Minimum Wage is the same for all legal residents of the United States even if the worker is 15 years old with a work permit.  If an employer is paying you less than minimum wage because of your age, contact the Labor Board...thats ILLEGAL!

  2. "The FLSA establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards affecting employees in the private sector and in Federal, State, and local governments. Covered nonexempt workers are entitled to a minimum wage of not less than $5.85 per hour effective July 24, 2007; $6.55 per hour effective July 24, 2008; and $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. Overtime pay at a rate not less than one and one-half times the regular rate of pay is required after 40 hours of work in a workweek."

http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america.h... has a map showing the state minimum wages.

  3. There isn't a National Minimum wage, there is minimum wage for your state. Where do you live?

And it doesn't differ from ages

  4. I didn't think there was one for that age. In the UK anyway. there wasn't when I was that age. That's why I ended up with c**p jobs paying even crapper money. I don't know for sure if it's changed or not, but I don't think it has.

  5. It's currently £3.40 per hour in the UK if you're under 18, this rises to £4.60 per hour at 18-21 and £5.52 per hour at 22 or over.
