  1. come again

  2. the nature of becoming is the nature of man. everything else in the world is static (relatively speaking). change happens everywhere, but nothing else changes so much in so little time.

things can only "become" if they are incomplete. seasons change, but the changing of the seasons does not. tides change, but the changing of the tides does not. they are always complete; they change, but do not become.

only man becomes, because only man is incomplete. everything else is in perfect harmony with the universe, so as parts, they function as the whole. man is in a state of disharmony. that's why it seems like the world is in a constant state of becoming, because man's understanding, his perception, is incomplete and separated, isolated from the rest of existence.

existence is not becoming, nothing is. the divine totality of everything, is already and always complete. because man is incomplete, we are able to experience all of existence piece by piece. existence is a cirle, we are a radius, and the point where line and circle cross is the ego, the physical self. we experience it one sliver of the cirle at a time. but that is why only man appears to be free from nature, because we are incomplete and in disharmony. everything else seems to lack the ability to go against nature, but they are all just in deep harmony with it.

becoming exists so that existence can experience itself.

  3. The nature of becoming is the changing states of matter and energy. Something becomes only in the eyes of a creature that lives for too short a time to notice these changes or they happen otherwise to slowly. Thus matter and enegy are still changing and only in the human mind are they ossified in memories.

  4. ...there are dreams and goal...

...the transition to accomplishing ones goal is "...becoming"...

    ...thanks for asking...

  5. Excellent question, Larry. At last I've found a speculative question in the philosophy section that actually pertains to something philosophical!

Unfortunately I can't answer tis question for you. Aristotle could, though, probably in his work called "Metaphysics". Look up the terms "potentiality" and "Actuality" in philosophy. These should help some. Sorry I couldn't help more.

  6. Are you "becoming" on drugs?

  7. Because time is a non-existent illusion

And things become what they are simply by being .

There's really nothing left to do but to keep on keepin on.

    Think of the alternative...

  8. Causality is the nature of becoming.

What is less comprehended nor even understood by many thinkers is the soul or personal awareness of becoming as causal product of One Mind Soul-individuation.

On the physis or even physicalism level, all is causation, albeit sometimes indeterminate by uncertaincy principle of quantum mechanics.  For One Mind Soul-individuation awareness, causality is clear as well at the soul or personal level.
