  1. The closest known exoplanet is "Epsilon Eridani b," orbiting Epsilon Eridani about 10 light-years away.

  2. I'm pleased. I guessed that it would be Epsilon Eridani and I was right! Epsilon Eridani is actually a very close match for our own Solar system out of all the known systems with planets. The star itself is similar to our Sun (slightly smaller) although it is considerably younger.

There are a few suspected planets in the system, and they are at similar positions to our gas giant planets.

The star is about 10.5 light years away. It's practically down the street in galactic terms.
