What is the nearest planet/galaxy/whatever that may contain life beyond simple cell organisms?

Furthermore, at what point is a body too distant for us Earth people to be able to see life on or send something to transmit images of life?

If there were intelligent life on Mars would we be able to view it some way or other? Thanks

  1. We can't see much from Earth besides what if very VERY big like galaxies. Using the Hubble space telescope we could probably tell what color Mars is... but thats it. There is no way we could tell if there was micro-organisms on Mars without sending probes that can view microscopic organisms.

We can't "see" life on other planets period. To find out if there is life we would need to send a probe there. With current technology we could probably get a probe to the nearest star system in under a thousand years. Also, there is no limit on how far we can't send a probe. The only limit is time. To get a  probe to the other side of the galaxy we would need to wait millions of years. To get to the nearest galaxy we would need to wait billions of years. To get to the other side of the universe we would need so much time that we would need to find a new way to live because all the stars in the universe would stop forming and start dying off.

The only possible way we will find multi-cellular life is either on Europa or Ceres or if we intercept radio signals from another civilization.

Particularly look at Contact Report 256

Which is information about talposbacteria - or heat resistant bacteria - and other types similar to this - which can exist right throughout our solar system - but scientists don't know about it, yet...

Most people may refer the information at this site, as being too far fetched ---- however, I have been researching it for the past 5 years, and find it believable and creditable.
