Manchester Victoria is right underneath, If you are travelling into Manchester on a train that does not stop at Victoria, you could change to a Victoria train at Bolton or Salford, if you go that way,  otherwise you could use the Metrolink from Piccadilly Undercroft (catch a Bury Tram), or the Centreline shuttle bus (its free) from Oxford Road, Piccadilly, or Deansgate stations.  to Victoria.

they are right . victoria is closest but if you are travelling from somewhere and your train arrives at manchester piccadilly , it is only a 10 min walk away

Victoria Station is also linked to Piccadilly Station by the Metrolink tram, in case your train arrives at Piccadilly and you don't fancy the walk. Get on a tram that says Bury on the front.
