After whatever I have read about it, all I understand is that A regional trade agreement is an economic trade agreement to reduce tariffs and restrictions on trade between two or more nations within a certain region. Despite reading through some articles, I feel completely blank about the subject. Please can someone help me out !

  1. Regional cooperation on trade is the main purporse of the WTO so that member countries will not have difficulty in the exchange of goods with regards to tariffs and security matters.

  2. The World Trade Organization basically monitors trade between nations that are its members. Regional trade agreements make up a vast portion of their duties... monitoring them.

Like NAFTA for example. NAFTA is a regional trade agreement between specific countries.

As far as need, trade agreements signify a bond between countries.
