  1. in multicellular organisms the body is a complex organisation of billions of cells which are modified in shape and structure in accordance with the functions they have to perform.Though a cell is the basic unit of life and performs all vital functions individually,yet the body works as an integrated whole...thus it becomes essential to develope some system for coordinating the activities of various cells in the body of multicellular organisms...so for the control and coordination of normal working of the body..2 systems have been developed in multicellular organisms...the nervous system and the the endocrine system.....
