I'm curious if anyone has ever been on the Fahrenheit, and if so, how it compares to similar-sized coasters (e.g., the Stormrunner). I love coasters, but am not such a fan of heights. The 90-some degree drop looks absolutely terrifying, particularly on the way up! Thanks, everyone!

  1. it is AWSOME i loved it the line is ridiculous but once you get on it the ride is intense

i personally like the storm runner better but farienhiet is definatly good

  2. Fahrenheit gives you a longer ride than stormrunner, but of course that makes the wait longer.  Fahrenheit is about the same height, but the 97 degree drop is worse than the 90 on Stormrunner.  Fahrenheit is a lot wilder, but for some people the going up would be the scariest part.  On Fahrenheit there is more stuff like cork-screws and what not, but it's so fast you can't tell what's happening most of the way.

  3. Well, Farenheit was a HUGE disappointment for me.  I have ridden GRIFFON at Busch Gardens Virginia a dozen times (it has a 205 foot 90 degree drop), and I was excited to ride Farenheit, but it didn't deliver.  It goes much slower, and the ride overall wasn't anything to get excited about.  The 97 degree drop seemed pretty cool, but you are only dropping down at that degree for a couple seconds, then the track starts to level out to send you into the rest of the track.  The accent is 90 degrees, which is pretty cool, but the drop lasts only seconds, so you don't get to enjoy what little bit there is to enjoy.  I didn't get to ride Stormrunner (unfortunately, they closed it the day I was at the park because of...well, who knows what!) so I can't compare it to Farenheit for you.

I really recommend visiting Busch Gardens in Williamsburg VA (before this Budweiser buyout goes through and Inbev closes the parks!), and ride GRIFFON...it has a 205 foot first drop (after it hangs you over the edge for about 5 seconds.  You look straight down at the ground!)  That takes you into a huge loop, and you go down a second drop that is signifigantly shorter, and not as steep, but just as awesome!

    Hope this helps you some!
