There is not any new tech on ignition sys because it was already perfected  many years ago

Jet eng uses a capacitor type sys rated in Joules and sounds like a fire cracker when fired (it can kill ya). Its on,  on eng start, take-off/landing and going thru bad weather

Recipicating eng uses a magneto type sys, like a drag racer.

I didn't know that there was one. All  you need is an igniter to get the flames in the combustion chamber started, and the process is self-sustaining from then on.
