Also how long would it take for my shih-poo to completely master the trick. I am willing to work with her everyday. She is a very smart dog.

  1. mine learn to sit up and beg very quickly it shouldn't take her long at all, shaking hands is always a cute trick she can  learn easily.

  2. well my dog is also very clever, but he does like to play and eat.   when i was playing with his ball yelled "ball" when i chucked it for him xD. because he likes the ball he likes the word when you say it. now when ever i say "ball" he runs and gets it.

also when its feeding time  and I'm giving him his food i say "food" so when he hears the word food he gets excited.

they are not really tricks but they are usefull in getting you dog happy and excited. if your dog doesn't really like these things  try it with "walkies" ( my dog knows that to ) because all dogs like walks.

this should take a week with food and walks  but only a day or 2 to learn with the ball of the toy if you do it over and over and over again

i really hope this helps ^.^

  3. Crawl.  Tell her to down.  When she is laying down show her a treat, tell her to crawl and slowly move the treat on the ground away from her.  When she moves foward let her have it.  If she raises up gently tell her wrong, have her lay down and try again.

Start by treating her for just an inch movement and increase the distance for the treat.

My pom learned this in just a few minutes.

  4. For me, I taught up next. To get her out of the sitting and lying down positions :)

My dog learned within a day.

  5. "shake" probably... although "stay" and "come" are also very easy, and more useful.
