  1. the common ration = T2/ T1 = -4/16 = -1/4

    the next term = 1/4 * -1/4 = - 1/16

  2. Looking at the first couple terms, you are multiplying by -1/4 each time (or dividing by -4, if you want to look at it that way).  However, it looks like you made a mistake with the fourth term which should be -1/4 (negative).

    16 x -1/4 = -4

    -4 x -1/4 = 1

    1 x -1/4 = -1/4

    -1/4 x -1/4 = 1/16

    etc.

    Answer:

    c. 1/16

  3. C, but shouldn't it be -1/4?

  4. C

The pattern is -1/4 the previous supposing that 1/4 should be negative.  The next term would therefore be 1/16

  5. Its none. 16/-4 = -4

    -4/1 = -4

    1/1/4=4

so there is no next term.
