  1. Figueira(churrascaria).

  2. impossible to pick just one. There's excelent restaurants for nearly every type of cuisine, especially Italian in Bixiga and japanese in liberdade

  3. It's hard to chose just one. Here's a list of the nicest by category.

Note that they're all very expensive, even for international standards.

Japanese: Jun Sakamoto (sushi mostly, undisputed)

Portuguese: Antiquarius (go for the "bacalhau" (cod fish) dishes)

Churrascaria (barbecue): Rubayat (many addresses, all superb)

Rodízio (churrascaria, all-you-can-eat): Vento Haragano, Jardineira Grill, Fogo de Chão (a tie, they're all great).

    Spanish: don Curro.

Seafood: Figueira Rubayat (great meat too, but it's also the best seafood in town, and that's a lot).

French: Le Coq Hardy (very traditional, great food)

    Arab: Brasserie Victoria

Italian: Fasano (traditional, luxurious and really, really expensive)

International, contemporary food: D.O.M. (new, trendy and even more outrageously expensive)

Argentinian: 348 (that's the name of the place).

Less expensive categories. Most runner-ups for the best restaurant categories above are way better than those below.

    Pizza: Cristal Pizzaria.

    Italian "Cantina": Speranza

    Hot-Dog: The Fifties

    French "everyday" Bistrot: La Tartine

    Hamburger: Hamburgueria Nacional

  4. O Gato Que Ri..em Sao Paulo

  5. Fazzano and Kombi, I like them.

  6. Sao Paulo is widely known for its superb restaurants, so it's very difficult to single out just one...

But as you requested a tip for the nicest, I'd bet in the Fasano restaurant.

Take a look at its website (also in English): http://www.fasano.com.br/

  7. FOGO DE CHAO !

    if you like Churrascaria !

  8. Don Curro

Rua Alves Guimares, 230, Pinheiros, Sao Paulo, Brazil

    Tel: +55 11 30624712

When Francisco Dominguez, the bullfighting Don Curro, opened a bar back in 1958 he could hardly have expected his paellas to become the most sought after in Sao Paulo. This is an expensive restaurant, but its refined dishes have an unforgettable taste enhanced by the use of the best ingredients and a special touch. For example, the paella served with fresh lobster which feeds a group of four people. There is also a superb wine list with a fine choice of Spanish reds and whites. A free valet parking service is provided.

  9. McBrazillio's. Hands down

  10. BK.

  11. any of them ....its better than eating c**p here.  lol
