What is the nightlife like in Puerto Vallarta?

I am going to Puerto Vallarta in 6 weeks and am not sure what to pack. I live in Chicago so I am used to getting "dolled up" to go out. lol I hear that it is more laid back there so bringing "dressy" clothes there to go out in in the evening isn't neccessary.

well....me and my husband are going to Puerto Vallarta in 6 weeks also, we live in Rockford and we are taking a air line in Chicago...take casual clothes and summer dresses..shorts are a must, sandals and tennis shoes if you are going for long walks..sandals are very uncomfortable...nice summer dresses at night look just fine...try a least 1 change a day...Puerto Vallarta is hot and humid (December is about 80-85-90 weather)   night time is in the lower 70 sometimes upper 60,   you can also check the weather forcast on line for the time of the year...don't forget a nice sweater or if you going out or a nice hoody if you walking on the beach

My Fiance and i went to Puerto Vallarta a last year and we had a lot of fun. We went on a few Resort tours and got free Massages. We also went to a local spot called Senor' Frogs now that place was real fun. I guess to answer your question, just relax and were lots of casual summer clothes. I must warn you to bring a light jacket because it can get cool there at night. As for the dress code they are really laid back. So casual with some jeans may be great.

Black capri pants or jeans with nice tops, denim skirts or city shorts are in vogue right now. You should go to Christine and Señor Frogs, and be sure to ask about recent after hours clubs. Vallarta is not that dressy so you wont need to get all dolled up but you can still wear fashionable clothes.
