  1. This is called the Face value of the shares.  When they enter the share market, they enter with this price. Normally this is Rs.10 per share.  Nowadays all the shares get listed in the exchange at a premium to their face value.

    During stock splits, the face value of the shares come down corresponding to the split ratio.


  2. Normally the nominal value of shares ir Rs. 10. But it is nt necessay that nominal value of every share is Rs.10.it can be Rs. 5, Rs. 2 or Rs. 1. But maximum shares have nominal value of Rs. 10
