  1. You should probably move out some time between the time you turn 18 and 20 and i live in the U.S.

  2. I'm a 52 yr. old filipina! I should say mid 20s is enough to live independently but it would depends on the level of maturity.

  3. Im 13 and i was born in Norway. My sisters moved out when they were around 16 but this was a special situation and my parents still FULLY paid for them, and it was their choice to move out and im glad they did.. (more space for me xD)

But personally i wouldnt do it at 16, they had a hard time. I would do it at 18-19 =] My cosine moved out at the age of 25 and she lives in Portugal so i bet your in no hurry =]

    Hope i helped!

  4. I'd say mid 20's.  USA

  5. Normal is the definition that we have to agree with first. if a man or a woman is living with their parents, then they are not independent. Independence means that they take care of the basics ON THEIR OWN.

As the American economy is having an effect on jobs and job loss, there are many young men and women (and not so young of both) ending up at mom and dad's house.

The problem of becoming unemployed is very hard on these people and thank goodness their parents are able to help. I would say that anyone who is staying with their folks should be happy to have a roof over their heads. If there is a different reason for staying with parents, then remember who pays the bills and puts food in the refrigerator.

  6. I don't think there is a norm. All parents want their child to be independent and save money.no better way than to stay at home.

  7. I don't think there is a 'normal' age for this ~ These days, where I live, young people are living at home with parents for a lot longer than they did 20 years ago, the reasoning to this is the cost of living has skyrocketted & many young people can't afford to rent/pay bills & live a comfortable life on their own these days. Couples on 2 moderate incomes are struggling to make ends meet.

Being independent while living with parents once you are of adult age is probably the norm.

Being independent has the burden of responsibility though, it doesn't mean a person disregards the parents wishes in respect to THEIR home.

  8. As soon as you can afford it....... after the age of 18.

    I am 52.....USA

  9. In the US, 22-ish, or whenever she graduates college. If she goes. If not, then 18.
