What is the normal amount of keepers you get in fantasy football?

i really dont think there is a normal i was in a league where it was 2 than the next year 3 than 4 than it went to 8 than it went to DYNASTY.  Which is the whole team is kept and you draft players from the draft and cut your roster to the appropriate size when it is time.  Depends on how many positions you are playing i would say if its just a keeper league set it at 30 - 40 % of the positions being played for example if you have 10 positions being played 3 or 4 keepers kept
