it stays "local" (doesn't act systemically) & the numbness should B gone in 3 - 5 hrs.

i just found thiss out tuesday. my dentist told me it was 4-6hrs. but it can be longer or it can be shorter. novacaine for me wears off in about 20min til 2hours

First off, Novacaine is not the anaesthetic used in Dentistry for the past 40 years!

Most local anaesthethics last about 4 hours, but some could last as long as 10-12 hours.
