What is the obvious ethical issue that a tobacco company would face if they had to pay over a million..?

...in the accountant point of view? If you were the head accountant for this company what would be the ethical issue you would face as you consider what to report in your company's annual financial reports?

  1. it would be the cost of doing business, and a viable tax reduction reducing the net payable so indirectly dividing the cost amongst all tax payers. the tobacco co. comes out ahead as hiring the accountant is also a business expense.
