What is the occasion and who is the audience for The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf?

  1. I don't remember an occasion...I know she was in her room. The audience would be someone who would understand the character's frustration, which matched to moth's, right? They both fought so hard to get beyond that pane of glass (literally or metaphorically) where they could see freedom. they just couldn't break out and realize it, so they finally gave up in exhaustion.
