The October crisis was when the FLQ kidnapped a couple of scumbag politicians and killed one of them.woohoo. Pierre Trudeau invoked the war measures act and put the military in the streets of Quebec. As far as the quiet revolution;there is nothing quiet about the dumb demands of a French-Canada.If they want out of my Canada, then get out.

Voting for separation from Canada . Was over separating from Canada but may have been much deeper an opposition to authority in general. FLQ did some acts assassinated a Cabinet member and The War Measures Act was instituted.

There is something which people can do now and was possible then and is now independent currencies based on trades of people. Were this adopted throughout Canada this would remove the idea of a dominant Canada holding down Qubec.  Everyone would be more independent. The focus would include trades as well as French.
