  1. Hi there

First let me say that you should use a 50 to 1 ratio mixture in the tank. All the older moters that used a lower oil to gas mixture used them when we had real gas that had a little lubracating properties about it. The gas we have now does not have but a 30 day shelf life. So I ask you which you would rather replace, the power head or the spark plugs from "over oiling"? You cannot go wrong with the pint to 6 gallon mixture and will most likely have no trouble with a fouled plug in this motor either. Good luck to ya I hope this helps ya out.

"Is this motor a Game tracker or is it the Game Fisher?? Just curious cause I know they had both.

  2. Older models used 32 to 1 but newer use 50 to 1

  3. Don't guess at the oil mix.  Find out the year and who made the engine and use the correct oil mix.  Look on the sears website and you should be able to find out the information on your engine.  They were made by different manufactors in different years.  Using more or less oil is not the answer.  Do a little research and get it right.

  4. renpen has the answer

    my 62 merc was 20 - 1

  5. Never heard of putting more than 50:1 in an outboard motor.  Put in 16 ounces per 6 gallons of gasoline.  Wouldn't hurt to put a little more in as it will just foul your plugs with time.  But if you go with less oil the engine will ware out fast!

  6. 50-1  is not a bad way to go it might cause a litte smoke but wont hurt the engine at all. you might have to clean the spark plug more about once a season .  but not a bad thing. there are some 2cycle oils out there that can be used for any of the mixes.  Check it out
