  1. The oldest Olympic Record yet to be broken is in the Men's Long Jump. The record was set back in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics by Bob Beamon of the United States

  2. The first answerer is right. Bob Beamon's world record (set at the 68 olympics) was broken by Mike Powell, but not at the Olympics. Powell has the WR but Beamon still has the OR in long jump.

  3. Bob Beamon's long jump is correct.

Michael Powel holds the WORLD record, but he did not set it at the olympics, thus it is not the olympic record.

  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Powell... will show that the bob beamon was beat by this guy after 23 years and here is a web site that says what it is

The oldest World record belongs to Jarmila Kratochvílová (800m track race 1:53.28, 26 July 1983)
