What is the oldest hamster people have had?

I realise that the average is 2-3 years, I'm looking for extremes. Does anyone know how old the oldest one on record was?

I have one that is almost 4 but the oldest hamster was The record is 43 years, can you believe that!?!?! haven`t a clue why this hamster has decided to live longer than the others, i think one of the reasons might be that he has a bigger cage (4 story!!!) than any of the others.

Mine lived almost to be two, but it was a dwarf hamster and their life expectancy is 1.5 years.

one of my teddy bear hamsters lived 2 years. but my best freind had a dwarf hamster and it lived 3 years.

As per the Guiness Book of World Records, the oldest living hamster lived for 7 years which seems pretty good since average age is 1-2 years only.
