well my baby is about 7 months and he still isn't able to sit up by himself. I know it takes patience but i'm just wondering what the oldest/latest age range a baby can be when he/she learns how to sit up.

  1. I know a few people whos babies did not sit up until about 8-9 months old.  Just give it some time, it will happen.

  2. My son was six months when he started to sort of be able to sit.  At about seven months, he solidified in his skills.  Does he have a "boppy seat?"  This helped my baby... Practicing isn't a bad idea, either.  More open play time will also help.  Don't worry, though.  I think that by the end of the eighth month is when I would get concerned.

  3. The typical age is around 3-6 months. Some babies work slower though. If you are worried I would ask your doctor at 9 months if he still isn't..

Is he reaching other milestones? trying to crawl or anything?

  4. i learned at about 6 months then again at 14 months, I had meningitis so i basically had to relearn everything lol.
