As far as a book is concerned you have me. An Act of Victoria State Parliament known as the Legal Depositories Act has helped the State Library of Victoria be in possesion of very old & continous runs of books, newspapers, magazines, newsletters & catalogues published within Victoria. The newspaper now known as The Herald Sun & formerly owned by The Herald & Weekly Times has its first issue in SLV. It was hand written by John Pascoe Fawkner & was named The Port Phillip Herald. The Times (London) pre dates the Great Fire of London, therefore making it the best collection of that newspaper anywhere in the World. The New York Times collection is equal to that in New York & SLV has  original copies of newspapers that are more complete collections of those of other Libraries & Newspaper Offices round the World. The collection is amazing. State Libraries of Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland & New South Wales have all used SLV to complete their local newspaper collections.

I do believe it's Rondelet's Libri de Piscibus Marinis

"DE PISCI BVS"  

It has a picture of what looks like an Alien with Scales of a Fish.  

It's a really old book, it's like in the 1500's/ maybe 1555

The oldest printed book is in the State Library of Queensland's History & Art of the Book Collection and was printed in 1475.

Laertii Diogenis Vitae et sententiae eorum qui in philosophia probati fuerunt (Lives of the philosophers by Diogenes Laertius)

It is older than the Australian Museum's Research Library's oldest book which is Rondelet's Libri de piscibus marinis dated 1554.
