  1. Chevy Vega

  2. There is no recorded history to confirm the development of metals for use in domestic and in armaments. Its just after the stone age and possibly between 8000-10,000 years BC.

The metal ware have been found several parts of the world but again the dating are not so accurate to reveal the time of its usage!

  3. Gold, copper and silver were the first, as they occur in a raw state and do not need to be extracted from an ore (though copper and silver can be).

Bronze was the first metal alloy, and was made from copper and tin (tin needs to be extraced from an ore).

Iron was the last prehistoric metal to be created.  It has to be extracted from an ore which requires very high temperatures

  4. The very 1st metal tools we know of were copper. Pure copper was hammered into shape, rather than smelted.  I will get back with some links for you.  The native Americans around the Great Lakes made some tools from copper, but I will have dig up some verifiable info for you.

Sumeria, considered the site of the first civilization, had no stone & tended to use wooden implements.  The 1st metals may have been brought in trade by Europeans or Egyptians, where the ealiest metal workings are found. Some pieces of pure metals are found among the Cro-Magnon (Early European Sapiens) but it was not worked & probably worn as found to adorn themselves with... or good luck charms, take your pick... about 25,000 yrs ago.

  5. Man doesn't create but I think the first type of metal used was gold and Iron.

  6. Copper and tin were the earliest non-ferrous metals to be used by man. They were used to make bronze. This would be the earliest use of metal for tools.

Gold would be the earliest metal in the form of Jewelry.

  7. Man didn't create metal. He forged it.

  8. There's evidence of copper smelting in Europe by the Trypillians and Vinca about 5,000 BC .

The earliest cast lead beads known today were found in the Çatal Höyük site in Anatolia (Turkey), and were dated of 6500BC.

The first known cast copper artifact is a mace head found in Can Hasan, Turkey from 5000BC.
