  1. the oldest military i think is the rum corps British Army, from settlement, the oldest continously operating air base in the world is Point Cook, so I guess the RAAF, but it wasnt called that back then it was something like Australian Air Corps and is the second oldest Air Force in the world


  2. The oldest unit is A Field Battery of the Royal Australian Artillery.

    A Field Battery was created before Australia even formally existed as a country, and was deployed to Sudan before seeing distinguished service in the Boer War. Since then they've fought in the World Wars, Malayan Emergency, Indonesian Confrontation, Vietnam and East Timor.
