Norsk, The language of the vikings is an old laguage and still spoken in Iceland. Aramaic, the Language of Jesus Christ is also an old language and still spoken in some tribes in the middle east. Greek is also a very old language.

if you mean with an alphabet, then it would be ancient Aramaic. if you mean symbols then i believe it would be Chinese.

The first ever documented or the one that has been using the same script for the longest?

I remember this question being asked in the past and I disagreed with the chosen answer mainly because this is a vague question and there isn't really an answer. All languages change and evolve and whether they acquire a different name or keep the same name is arbitrary.

2000 years ago, Chinese was called... Chinese. 2000 years ago, French was called Latin. But the course of evolution of these languages is similar -- they have both changed a great deal, to the point that speakers would be unable to understand eachother, but in one case, they still call it Chinese and in the other, the name has changed, you see?

And what do you mean by picture writing? Chinese has characters -- do you consider them pictures? Hieroglyphs look like pictures but they represented sounds.

I think you need to define your question further to get a real answer. Whatever the answer may be, it will inevitably be a language that is either no longer spoken or that has evolved beyond recognition despite keeping the same name.
