What is the one thing that changed you to liking school?

There is such a space between hating and liking school. I'm looking for young people to share with me, what has made school a great experience for them. How about homeschoolers - could use your ideas too.

My 'high school' years.  My parents let me be in charge of what I learned, my schedule, and what activities I was involved in.  I didn't dislike school before, but it was so much better when I was in charge of my education!  I was always so excited about what I was learning.

I made school fun and this may sound backwards but doing good inschool made me happy to be there. i hated school when i was hounded all the time and down on myself but when i started doing good i couldnt wait to get to school and work hard and see friends :).

hands on activities. instead of reading a book, get out and learn through experience. go on field trips. build a robot. plant a garden. watch the life cycles of butterflies. go see a historic land mark and reenact it while shooting paintball. do something fun, and while your there....LEARN everything you can think to learn. its sooooo much better than reading about it and taking a test. by the way, it is a misconception that homeschoolers don't get into good college. if you look at the stats. homeschooler are more likely to get in because there is no competition from your school and they tend to do better on  the SAT. if you look up in your community there are many programs for homeschoolers now. it is not just learning at home there are many classes and organizations to participate in, so socialization is no problem.

SPANISH CLASS, OMG I GOT TO TALK ABOUT MY FAVORITE COLORS AND PRETEND I WAS IN A MEXICAN RESTAURANT AND STUFF!!! ALL MY AMIGOS Y YO HABLEMOS A MUCHAS COSAS MUY INTERESTANTES EN ESTE CLASE, VOY A TOCAR MAS EN COLEGIO!!!

and the bus, we got pulled over once because we threw a donut on this ladys windsheild and we cussed out the windows and got to be wild for once in our lives
