The food is all prepared ahead of time and everyone gets the same thing, no crazy special requests that you were not informed of beforehand!! I think catering is less stressful than working in a restaurant because you know what to expect at certain events whereas the restaurant business is up one day and down the next

There are several.  You don't have to guess at the number of people that you'll be serving, the host has already told you.  And since they signed a contract, you will be paid.  And that includes the gratuity so you know you'll be tipped.
