For me, it's the fact that I'm an introvert. Let me explain. I like people, and I'm not particularly shy. I just need my alone time too. But a lot of people misunderstand this and automatically think that I'm not friendly or that I don't like them. I suspect that some people even think I'm arrogant (although I'm not at all). The ones who stick around long enough to get to know me, however, usually say that I'm very likable. So what about all of you? How do people misunderstand you?

  1. The same thing as you.

  2. I am believe that I am misunderstood sometimes when I have blunt opinoins that I tend to not keep to myself. I have become better with this problem but a lot of times people get caught off guard and really, I am only stating my opinoin so bluntly because I expect others to have opinoins and convictions that they are comfortable sharing and voicing to others.

  3. The one thing people misunderstand about me is that my beliefs are very deep and were never made without a lot of thought and soul searching.

  4. That I am a very opinionated person, but I never have the courage to speak up for myself so people make choices for me, which I completely hate....

  5. I can totally relate to what you said!

People confuse me with being lonely if they see me alone, listening to my ipod or drawing.

When I'm not doing those stuff, I like talking with people.

I just think it's impossible to talk to someone if you are "lost in a different world". I just need some time with myself, like you mentioned.

  6. Well, I am a very shy person.  But when I am by myself, or with my mother, I am very opinionated and can talk up a storm.  So when I am around people and everyone is talking, I tend to just listen unless specifically asked a question.  And even then I give the simplest of answers, even though I could explain in more depth.  So everyone always jokes with me, saying "Shut up Sarah, why are you so loud."  Or they always comment on how quiet I am.  So people misunderstand how opinionated I really am, how loud I can actually be, and how much I can actually talk.  I don't know if that's what you're talking about, but I hope it helps.

    :)

  7. I am perfect. No one misunderstands me.
