It is not actually a tribe, but the Alaskan Eskimos (most of whom are of the Inuit language group) are permitted to hunt whales (the Arctic Bowhead whales).

The hunting is closely monitored and being allowed on a "test" basis for the next few years, until more data on the affect of their hunting these whales can be collected and evaluated.
