If i get this question right i will have a bonus form my english master.

he bet with me and i have to win . please help

he asked that which bird eats itself? .

he also added that it would eat it's stomach flesh.

I'm really not sure but I do know--er--heard that a pelican will sacrifice itself for it's offspring.

It used to be a legend that the pelican would tear open it's breast and feed the flesh to the offspring in necessary times.  It was supposed to be like Christ feeding us His flesh out of love.  Whether a pelican actually does that... well I'm not positive but its the only thing I've come close to answer your question.

There's none I'm aware of, and the concept sounds completely ridiculous.

Insist upon a credible reference, preferably from a scientific journal.  Failing that, ask them to demonstrate how it might be possible for an animal of any kind -for example, an English teacher- to eat themself.

Again, insist either upon a credible reference or a personal demonstration.  (The 'its' in that sentence of yours shouldn't have an apostraphe, by the way.)

Update

It occurs to me that they could be attempting to ask about cannibalism; birds eating members of their own species rather than theirselves.  If so, it's still not a sensible question as various birds could do that under stressful circumstances.
