  1. er....... no me! x

  2. Me =)

  3. www.synonym.com

says the antonym of pathetic is fortunate.

Pathetic means deserving of pathos so I reckon its about right someone fortunate would not be in need of my store of pathos.

Before I looked it up I was thinking of 'effective'

  4. Pathetic (from pathos) meant something that evoked pity and sympathy. But in it's current usage it seems to evoke a condition as 'beneath contempt' (weak, feeble, loser etc) and is actually quite a harsh label to give anything. So the opposite could be anything said with admiration - fabulous, tremendous... etc. But I know that's not quite what you are looking for. Intrigued. Any suggestions, people?

  5. Perfect, amazing, intelligent, successful, impressive, strong, wonderful, smart, lovable, great, courageous; any more?

  6. Bathetic.

  7. impressive

  8. The obvious answer is antipathetic. Pathetic simply means the expression of sympathy and I personally don't  think that is a show of weakness. Your definition is fatally flawed.

Antipathetic means having an aversion to something/someone.

  9. I'd suggest one of the following:

    Dignified

    Estimable

    Fortunate

There is no exact opposite, of course, just like there isn't an exact opposite of a cloud or a crab or something. Unless their absence or negative counts, and thus "no-crab", "no-cloud" and "non-pathetic".
