  1. Referring to titles in the UK,

The Peerage is a system of titles of nobility in the United Kingdom, part of the British honours system.

Peers ranks in descending order of hierarchy are:

    Duke

    Duchess

    Marquess or Marquis

    Marchioness

    Earl

    Countess

    Viscount

    Viscountess

    Baron

    Baroness (in her own right)

    Baroness (in her husband's right)

  2. The order of precedence from highest to lowest ,beginning with royals, who may carry royal versions of aristocratic titles is as follows:

    King/Queen Regnant

    Queen/Prince Consort

    Heir Apparent/Heir Presumptive (Crown) Prince/Princess

    younger Prince/Princess

All of the royals may bear royal versions of peerage titles of duke, marquess, earl, viscount, baron(and the female equivalents).
