  1. The best explanation that I have heard is this one.

    The team that just lost the serve.  That side is out of the serve and the other team now gets to serve the entire term of service until it is out.

  3. i THINK its because there was a volleyball movie in the 1980's or 1990's that was called side out & i think that kinda invented it....i think they just screamed their team name lyke SIDE OUTT!! WHOOOOOO. hahaa =]

  4. hi i play club volleyball and it a simple answer.

    sideout means to get the ball back and to gain the point from the other team and thats it and its a good cheer distraction
