  1. russia

  2. romainia. Well, thats where they are famous. Count dracula and stuff

  3. vlad the impaler

  4. There are bats which live from blood. And in Romania there lived a duke who killed many people and was said to drink blood. Altogether a mystery...

  5. Possibly Judas Iscariot as suggested in the movie 'Dracula 2000'.

The one significant twist this film brings to the Dracula/vampire legend is its explanation of his origin. In this film, Dracula is established to be Judas Iscariot, cursed to walk the earth as an immortal for his betrayal of Jesus, being denied admission to both Heaven and h**l. This explains some of the vampire's best-known weaknesses, primarily Christian iconography and silver, as Judas was paid in silver for betraying Christ to the authorities. Although Bram Stoker makes no reference to a vulnerability to silver in his novel, it is a part of some examples of European vampire folklore.

  6. Proximately from the German "Vampir", itself based on the Slavic "Vampir" or "Upir", before that, its etymology is unclear, perhaps originating from the proto-Slavic word for "bat", or from the Slavic word for "witch", borrowed from the Turkish "Ubyr".

  7. one of the people who stabbed jesus on the cross

  8. actually read the twilight books then

  9. It was only Hollywood stuff. It was a spin-off of a Russian nobleman with 2 castles who was obsessed with impaling his victims and enemies. His name was Vladimir the Impaler of Russia. It is told that he gathered up several thousand people in the area around his castle and impaled them on poles around his castle so when his enemy came with it's army, they were so horrified, that they simply turned and road away. Good luck on finding the original vampire.

  10. There have been legends of "unholy blood drinkers" for thousands of years. They started off as demons who fed on the flesh and blood of humans, then as the centuries progressed became more human like. Countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, etc. have deep roots tied to the tales of the vampire. But, other countries do too. Greece, the Romans, and many middle eastern countries also share tales of predatory menaces. Even China has stories about similar creatures. Go to the library or online, and look up all reference books to do with vampires and their origins. There's the Encyclopedia of Vampires, the Ultimate guide to Vampires, the Book of Vampires, the Vampire book, etc. Good luck.

  11. the first vampire is said to be adam's first wife, lilith... perhaps you can look her up and start there.  im not really sure if she is the "origin" but i think she must be pretty dang close
