  1. I thought most martial arts used an outfit called a gi (gee)

  2. still  KIMONO  like  any  kind  of  martial arts

  3. Dobok.  The do bohk is the uniform worn by practitioners of Korean martial arts. "Do" means "Way of life" and "Bohk" means robe or training clothes. The do bohk comes in many colors, though white and black are the most common. The do bohk is fashioned after the Japanese gi, but often the pants are wider and longer. Due to this, Korean practitioners often wear a do bohk modeled after the Korean han bohk. The do bohk of taekwondo-practitioners are usually v-necks, tailored after the design of the han bohk. It is also is quite common for do bohks to have the reverse in a different color than the rest of the do bohk.

  4. Most Karate styles use a "Gi".

TKD  uniforms are called "Dobak" and are pullover v-neck style.

    James

  5. There's not much I can add to what Mushin said. It's called a dobok.

Only one thing I can add. The pullover v-neck style top is used in WTF taekwondo, whereas in ITF taekwondo, our tops zip up. The trousers are the same though. As far as I know, ITF are stricter with their uniform, and you have to wear an ITF approved dobok.

  6. Dobok
