Hello! I was wondering...

- How many passengers are needed for each cabin crew member?

- Is it like 30 passengers for each crew member?

- Does it differ from aircraft to aircraft?

Cheers!

  1. It differs from Aircraft to Aircraft and Airline to Airline.

A 737 seats around 175 has 3 flight attendants and 2 flight crew.

  2. The minimum for FAA is 1 flight attendant for every 50 seats, not actual passengers, but passenger seats.  Each airline has their aircraft configured differently...so for 1 airline, and 1 aircraft type, the minimums can be different.  If a plane has 175 seats, then it needs 4 flight attendants.  If a plane has 101 seats, it needs 3 flight attendants.  If a plane has 50 seats, it needs 1 flight attendant....I'm sure you get it.  As far as the cockpit goes, that depends.  It's a minimum of 2...1 pilot and 1 first officer.  If it's a widebody aircraft, flying domestically...they still only need 2.  However, if it's a widebody aircraft flying Internatinally, then it would be 3-4.
