  1. I work there and pay grades classify the job and level of pay.  For example, a staff nurse will be a pay grade 40.  I was a nurse manager at one time and my pay grade at that time was higher - pay grade 41.

Pay grades of 43 and 44 in nursing are usually for nurses with advanced degrees or upper management positions.

As with any other employer, there are salary ranges for positions.  The lower end is for entry level or inexperienced nurses and the upper level for more experienced nurses. What you are offered as a salary is based on the position, your experience, education and the department budgets.

Unfortunately, they don't tell you the range for a certain position.  Tally up your experience, education and research what NP's are making.  There is a website  - I think it's salary.com and that may help you.

Good Luck!  I  hope this helped.
