What is the penalty for assault battery?

he does not have a record but he hit someone and sent a person to the hospital. turns out that person broke a bone.now this happened at work and the person is making the job pay for the bill. but what will happen to the guy who hit him?

  1. If the person files a complaint, the hitter will be served with a summons and will have to appear in court.  As a first offense, depending on how tough the victim wants to be, he will probably (not definitely) be given the option to plea down to a non-jail time offense, possibly even with a deal to clear the record after probation.

    Honestly, it really depends on the prosecutor you draw.


  2. Well i know the least that could happen is that he would get arrested pay some time and also pay the bills, plus extra if pressing charges for himself getting hurt. but you know you do have to report these kinds of things
