  1. um......I dont know if there is a oenelty, I would think not but wouldnt you just make sure thast your bag/cart is back far enough BEFORE taking your shot??

  2. This happened to me in a tournament this year.

The rule officially is that if one hits his own, or his teammates bag it is a two stroke penalty or loss of hole in stroke play.  If one hits another's bag that is not a member of his team than there is no penalty to either player.

Knowing that rule saved me a medalist spot at even par.

Its a good thing to know.

  3. I'm no rules expert, but I'm agreeing with Will. I know for sure that it's 2 strokes if you hit your own bag - I'm not sure about your opponent's bag but I'm sure it's the same thing.

  4. Two shots if you hit your own bag, no penalty if you hit your opponent's.

  5. The correct answer is a 2 stroke if you hit either bag. 2 against you for your own bag and 2 against your opponent for hitting his bag. That just means he placed it poorly.
