What is the penalty for overstaying a 90 day tourist visa in Guatemala?

Hi, I am a British national and I will be overstaying my 90 day tourist visa in Guatemala by 5 days. Can anyone tell me what penalty I will face when I fly home to UK next week? I believe there is a daily fine, I'm hoping there is nothing more serious. I have contacted my embassy but they have not got back to me with the answer. I have left it to late to apply for an extension as I am working in a small village in the middle of nowhere. Thanks very much!

It should be no big deal unless you get someone having a bad day.  They may not even fine you.

The fine is 10 Quetzals per day, for each day you are late.
