  1. Uh i have no idea, but im sure it'll just be a warning or a fine. i dont think you'll be doing time at the big house.

Since irrigation water is used to grow crops of one kind or another and those crops are harvested and sold for many thousands of dollars (at least those of us who grow those crops hope we'll earn thousands of dollars for our labors), and those crops can't grow without water, stealing the water is the same as stealing the thousands of dollars worth of crops.  the penalty?  Huge fines in the many thousands of dollars and in extreme cases, grand theft charges which can result in serious jail time.

  3. I hope your not consuming it...   Some placed are using "gray water" for irrigation..
